New Year's plans in Lima and Paracas

Lima is a cosmopolitan city, a gastronomic and cultural capital, and a gateway to the most delightful experiences on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. This dynamic city is a perfect destination to contemplate our resolutions for the new year.

Gastronomic experience

Visiting the Peruvian capital through a culinary route is a great way to get to know its traditions, diversity, and contemporary culture. And bidding farewell to the year in Peru with a tailor-made dinner is one of the best plans in the city.
Maras, the fine dining restaurant at The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, offers a true sensory journey with dishes that elevate Peruvian cuisine. For this special night, they offer a seven-course dinner – among the highlights are the Andean tiradito, corn cake, and suckling pig – which includes a bottle of cava per couple and the opportunity to enjoy their elegant interiors or the fresh and romantic terrace.
AC Hotel Lima Miraflores has two options in an unbeatable location to enjoy the New Year's celebration, right in front of the sea on the most beautiful and social boardwalk in the city. On one hand, there is the buffet at Saladero, which includes a curated selection of typical Peruvian and international dishes, as well as a bread and olive oil station and a glass of sparkling wine per person. On the other hand, on the hotel's rooftop, we will discover the different and dynamic proposal of the restaurant Insumo: tables dressed with cheeses, hams, sausages, and salmon; a station of cold dishes; Kamado grills; a variety of side dishes to choose from, and desserts served at the table. All of this, with the added bonus of being in one of the restaurants with the best view of the city, which will light up its best lights that night.
In addition, in that same neighborhood - one of the most touristy and with the greatest entertainment offerings - Aloft Lima Miraflores organizes a New Year's Eve buffet that will be accompanied by a live DJ. To welcome the new year with music.

Paracas: beachside party

Three hours south of Lima, Paracas reveals itself as the perfect setting for an iconic night. The bay will host a dinner with a view of the main pool at Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort, followed by a party to dance well into the new year.
This event is doubly special as it also celebrates the 80th anniversary of Hotel Paracas as a luxury retreat on the Peruvian coast. The dinner and party will capture the essence of a hotel with a rich history, as well as the spirit of the future.
As for the dinner, it will consist of a four-course menu, including an appetizer with exciting flavors of crispy yucca, mushroom kapchi, rocoto, and Andean cheese; usuzukuri of ponzu sea bass as the starter; pork loin in porcón sauce as the main course, and passion fruit pavlova with cheese, blueberries, lime sorbet, and rosemary for dessert. This dinner includes a glass of sparkling wine and is part of the culinary vision of Chef Miguel Cabrera, who leads the hotel's culinary proposal.
The party will take place on the hotel's terrace, with the idea of starting the new year while overlooking the sea of Paracas. Few sensations are as gratifying as beginning a new year surrounded by the nature of this beautiful coastal area. Those who attended the dinner can enter the party for an additional fee.
It's important to know that both the dinners in Lima and the activities in Paracas require reservations. It's best to make them in advance to ensure a memorable New Year's Eve.
